In my last role, I discovered that my passion lies in deeply understanding audience perspectives and shaping messaging that truly speaks to each stakeholder. Figuring out what an audience is expecting to hear is a puzzle; and it’s satisfying to click the pieces into place, finding the right words to bridge a brand’s goals with its audience’s needs.

About a year into that role, I got laid off. My bosses thought that AI could create what I could create. But I knew that wasn’t true. The expert human eye is still needed, and with the rise of automation, personal flair will only become endlessly more valued. No matter how good or how trained, AI lacks the human touch—the one most impactful and results-driven edge that any business or individual can have.
